Boxes
Inspired by her husband's poetry, Deborah has expanded on his voice in her recent series of boxes. The distressed wooden shadow boxes are lined in mirror with LED lights to highlight the pieces inside. Paul's poems are permanently inscribed on the glass covers. These pieces work as visual art, but the jewelry may also be removed from the boxes and worn.

Jewelry
There is so much "sameness" in the world that Deborah likes creating wearable pieces of art. Each piece is unique, with its own personality…and all are fun.

Beads
Deborah has no true "style"—she enjoys making stringable glass objects in various sizes, shapes, and glasses. Some move inside of themselves, some open, some are for fondling, and all are for touching and enjoying.

Toys
Created for the Torchet Gallery show Moving Beyond Craft: Artists of the Washington Glass School, these pieces were designed to challenge the "look but don't touch" notion of glass as a visual media.
